To Ian and Stan above,

To Ian and Stan above, Please help, I have been a conned global bullion exchange in lake worth fl. as well. I was told i could get 1000oz silver for 8000 when the market was at 18 oz. because they had an institutional order so i could get a big discount. Later i find out i was charged a 15% commision on the full metal value than i find out it was a margin account that the metal had to increase in value over 3.50 dollars to even break even.non of these facts were disclosed up front. when the metal fell in value 1.35 i was told i was in margin and had to send in more money or my account was a total loss. when i tried to sell out i was hung up on. I suspect no silver exists and this is a fraud and a ponzi scam. please send me the contact so i can report this fraud to the proper authorites. i would not want others to get in to this if somethings to good to be true....it is.......

Unfortunately both irrelevant to this prediction and a completely unreliable (read: poor photoshopping) image.

No, Drudge's auto-refresh

No, Drudge's auto-refresh (about every 3 minutes) doesn't exagerate the site's "session count" -- unlike the more primitive "hit count," is is how the internet metrics folks measure the site's popularity.

Netratings.com (among other net traffic gathering sites) explains this. And see the page at the Newspaper Association of America: www.naa.org/blog/digitaledge/1/2008/06/Nielsen-Drudge-Report-Leads-Top-3...

(You can check out more info on the topic of "sessions" at Wikipedia, and/or delve into it at pages like http://javapapers.com/servlet-interview-questions/explain-the-methods-us... )

Actually, instead of inflating the statistics, Drudge's site numbers are perhaps *lower* than they might be, since many readers (me included) just keep a browser tab open to DrudgeReport all day, every day, and never close it -- which, ironically, works out to a *single* session. (I routinely close that tab only when I reboot my system, which is about once every 2 weeks.) A session only counts more than once if you leave the domain for another website and then return again to Drudge, but I just keep the page open and pop up new tabs for any news articles that Drudge points me to.

So for me, an avid reader/scanner of news, I view the refreshed DrudgeReport page maybe 300 times a month, but only generate 2 or 3 *sessions*.

"...completely ignoring

"...completely ignoring these communication channels may damage a company's ability to better understand its customers."

Amen! Companies that don't embrace web 2.0 technologies, such as blogs and wikis, will find themselves as obsolete as buggy whip manufacturers.

For those of you looking to start a blog, MoreVisibility offers a great whitepaper called The Importance of Blogs in Your Marketing Efforts. It's written for marketers and explains why blogs should be a part of every marketing campaign.

What hasn't been discussed

What hasn't been discussed is Palin's stance on her political issues and how these will affect the American people. For example her political stance on abstinence and sex education. Considering that she would not fund these programs as a govenor how will her being VP affect what will happen to our teens? Considering that abstinence education did not prevent a pregnancy for her daughter, will she now consider that both abstinence and sex education should be taught to teens?
This is very important to me as woman who once was a young girl who would have made better decisions provided that my mother would have discussed safe sex practices ALONG WITH abstinence. This is one of the issues why I can not identify with Palin and why she would not get my vote. We need to coexist and work together not the bully barracuda, pit bull with lip stick!! McCain is going to really have a hard time saying he is willing to reach across the aisle with her on his ticket!

The Glass Ceiling will be cracked, but she is not the woman who will do it!

Seriously, the whole

Seriously, the whole prediction is about the announcement of the plan to develop a web-based viewer. Not the announcement of the launch. It has been stated that Joost has planned on the web-based viewer several times including by its CEO and on Joost own site. How more official do we need? The fact that it is now proven to actually exist and working just confirmed the status of the web-based viewer. It is not only at the planning stage, it has been developed and under limited public test. How more definite do we need it to be?

They've talked about it, and released a beta, but a formal announcement is yet to come.

Although the beta exists, dropping a few lines to the public is by no means an announcement.
